Full-time - Information Security Officer
Southern New Hampshire University seeks candidates for the full-time position of Information Security Officer within the Department of Computing Resources.
The primary purpose of this new position is to define, direct and coordinate all SNHU information security functions, physical security functions, and vendor technical / security assessments so as to reliably and effectively ensure sound information safeguards for the university’s operations. This individual is also responsible for auditing existing systems and for developing and directing the administration of information security policies, activities, and standards and assisting with the development of SNHU’s business continuity plan.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, or equivalent experience dealing with systems, networking and data communications in a large multivendor, multiprotocol environment. Eight to 10 years of progressive experience in networking technology and/or security engineering is required. Candidates must possess uncompromising integrity, professional demeanor and a strong work ethic.
