The School of CED’s first completely online series of courses provides a unique opportunity for busy microfinance practitioners who cannot leave their work/communities but still wish to acquire new skill and /or earn academic credit. Students can earn either a certificate of participation (no academic credit component) or a graduate certificate through the completion of all three Microfinance courses totaling 9 academic credits. Students may also transfer the academic credits into SCED's National Weekend or International MS Programs. Each 11-week online course is taught by experts in the field.
- a Certificate of Participation or
- a Graduate Certificate in Microfinance Management or
- Transferable credits towards a M.S. in International Community Economic Development.
- World-renowned faculty affiliated with major development and academic organizations.
- Continuous on-line support as you carry out assignments in your home community.
- Courses are based on case studies and real life examples to help you gain practical experience.
- You become part of a virtual community of practitioners worldwide to share knowledge and experiences.
- The program serves a diverse community with courses, offered year round, designed for the microfinance and microenterprise development “beginner” to the “advanced” microfinance and microenterprise development practitioner.
- Be MED practitioners or have an interest in the MED sector
- Hold a bachelors degree or equivalent (3 years of work experience)
- Be proficient in the written form of the English Language and have computer literacy skills
- Have a TOEFL score of no less than 550 (to pursue the Masters degree option)
- Have Internet access
ICD 525 is a pre-requisite for ICD 526 and 527 unless that participant has 1 year or more experience in the field of Microenterprise, in which case there are no pre-requisite requirements.

- Current SCED students contact the SCED office 603.644.3103
- Current SNHU graduate students not enrolled in the CED program pay $1,596.00 per course.
- Participants interested in obtaining the Graduate Certificate in Microfinance Management or taking the course for academic credit but are not enrolled in an SNHU graduate program pay $1,596.00 per course.
- Participants interested in taking the course who are not enrolled in an SNHU graduate program and do not wish to earn academic credit pay $500 per course.
- A $25.00 application fee is required.

- Current SNHU graduate students not enrolled in a SCED program register using PENpal
- Participants who are taking the course for academic credit (course work only) and/or wish to obtain a Graduate Certificate in Microfinance Management but are not enrolled in an SNHU graduate program please fill out the graduate application
