Full-time - Instructional Designer
Southern New Hampshire University is looking for a creative and motivated instructional designer (ID) to join our online course development team. Working with faculty and a team of multimedia specialists, the ID will develop high quality courses and play a central role in course design, creation and application of media elements.
Qualifications include a master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in instructional design, educational technology or a related academic discipline. The candidate should be able to apply instructional theories and principles to online learning. Candidate must have excellent verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and multi-task and work in a team environment. Experience in the field of e-learning desired.
The ideal candidate will be current and experienced with new interactive technologies that support learning and and/or build online communities of practice. He or she will be proficient in multi-media applications to assist faculty in the planning and production of graphics, animations, audio and video for their course. Candidate will be comfortable with authoring, programming and scripting tools. The candidate should be experienced in several of the following applications: Flash, HTML, digital video editing and production, web graphic design tool(s) such as Adobe Photoshop.
