Online MS in Sport Management: Athletic Administration Certificate from SNHU

Go Pro with an Athletic Administration Masters Degree

Apply your passion for sports into a full-time career with a MS in Sport Management and an Athletic Administration Graduate Certificate. Our Athletic Administration program will help you enter the field, no matter what your background, or enhance your resume with additional skills that you can use to advance in your profession. Whether you hope to break into professional sports administration, or see yourself running the athletics program at a school or community organization, this 36-credit hour master’s degree program combines theoretical training in athletic administration with application in a real-world setting through a required internship.

Founded more than 25 years ago, Southern New Hampshire University’s Sport Management degree is one of the most established and prestigious programs in the U.S. and one of just two accredited sport management programs in New England.

Apply Athletic Administration Training in a Real-World Setting

This specialized Master’s in Sport Management program provides a strong foundation on which to break into or grow your career in athletic administration. Through internships, you will be able to apply what you learn in a real-world work environment of your choosing. This will not only give you demonstrated experience that you can put on your resume, it will also allow you to better understand how topics that you explore in the classroom take place in the real world.  Topics include organizational design, public policy, labor relations, collective bargaining, marketing and media relations.

Athletic Administration Careers Poised for Growth

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of education administrators - a category into which athletic administration falls -- is expected to grow by about 10 percent between 2010 and 2020. The flexibility of this degree enables you to apply it toward sports-related careers in areas such as marketing, sales and public relations, to help you get your foot in the door.

Graduates of our sport management program have worked for a variety of organizations including the Boston Celtics, Red Bull, the U.S. Olympic Committee and Reebok.
