College Unbound Application Process

The College Unbound integrative studies application process is based on an e-portfolio submission, recommendations and interviews (individual and group).

Unlike other academic programs at SNHU, acceptance into College Unbound is not granted on a rolling basis and follows a specific timeline. The application deadline for College Unbound is February 1. Any applications received after this date will be considered and reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Phase 1 - All items are due February 1

1. Complete & submit all application materials for either freshman or transfer admission.

2. Submit the following documents to the attention of the College Unbound Office at SNHU:

  • A recommendation letter from a mentor or supervisor (not connected to your academic experience)
  • An e-portfolio

3. Please be sure to complete the Federal Financial Aid Application (FAFSA) and explore financial aid by March 1.

Phase 2 – Individual Interviews

Selected applicants will be contacted to participate in an interview. Applicant interviews will be conducted in February in person or via telephone or Skype.

Phase 3 – Candidate Weekend/Group Interview

Approximately 20 to 25 applicants will be invited to participate in a group interview and other exercises on campus. Applicants will be notified around Feb. 20.
Candidate Weekend will begin March 14.

Phase 4 – Notification of Acceptance

Following Candidate Weekend, applicants will be notified about acceptance into College Unbound by March 31.
