Disability Services

Mission:

The Office of Disability Services’ mission is to provide a barrier-free environment with equal access to educational, programmatic and physical opportunities through reasonable accommodations and training. ODS also promotes disability awareness and Universal Design through programs, activities, training, and collaboration with others in the campus community.

Vision:

The Office of Disability Services seeks to support an accessible environment and promote skills to enable individuals to advocate for their needs with confidence and clarity, as well as assist them in recognizing that their disability is just one of many characteristics that shape their identity. ODS also strives to help create a campus climate of respect where people with documented disabilities are viewed on the basis of abilities.

Please Note:
The guidelines SNHU uses for documenting a disability and determining necessary and appropriate accommodations may vary among the different platforms (University College, College for Online and Continuing Education, and College for America). Keep this in mind as your particular accommodations may differ depending on the type of coursework and the platform upon which it is offered.
