Considering studying in our Degree in Three program? Check out this video to learn how it all works!
The Degree in Three program at Southern New Hampshire University allows you to earn the same exact Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance degree as your peers, but this unique program combines traditional classes with learning experiences that take place outside the classroom. You'll apply what you learn in class to the real world of business through on-campus workshops, civic events in the community and team-based projects.
Besides the hours of real-world experience you'll be adding to your résumé, you'll earn your bachelor's degree in only three years with no weekend, summer or evening courses required and still have plenty of time to participate in athletics and campus life. While others are still taking classes toward their degree, you can use your “fourth year” to pursue graduate studies or to start your career ahead of your peers.
The Degree in Three program makes sense financially as well. You'll save a full year in tuition and room and board (over $40,000), and there's the potential to be earning a full year's salary after graduation while your peers are still in school.
In this accelerated BS program, you'll study the complexities of economic activity and the demands that all firms face in focusing on the bottom-line, financial perspective. Unlike many traditional programs, you choose the course of study that interests you. You can focus on optimizing a business' financial assets or concentrate on coursework that will provide the foundational knowledge you need should you choose to seek a CPA after graduation.
If you're interested in accounting, you'll receive a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices. The three-year accounting and finance BS prepares you for a career in public and corporate accounting, taxation, banking, financial analysis, auditing, government services with the IRS or FBI, or scores of other accounting-related careers. Students pursuing a finance career learn the skills necessary to assess the performance and suitability of a firm's financial position as well as its stocks, bonds and other investments.
As a private, nonprofit university, SNHU has one mission - to help you see yourself succeed. The benefits of majoring in accounting at SNHU include:

An undergraduate degree in accounting and finance will prepare you for careers in banking and corporate finance, the treasury or as a financial analyst. In addition to positions in public accounting and private industry, you can also pursue roles in government agencies, hospitals, social service agencies, education systems and in the international arena.
Pursuing an undergraduate accounting and finance BS will give you a solid foundation in accounting and finance principles and practices. Although SNHU does not offer CPA certification, certain upper-level accounting courses may serve to fulfill necessary requirements and provide you with background knowledge that will prove helpful should you choose to seek certification after graduation.
