M.Ed. in Special Education Degree - Help Students Grow
If you are patient and compassionate and like working with students with learning disabilities, a Special Education degree can start you on a special career path. Learn how to help these students grow, develop and flourish to reach their true potential.
This program leads to New Hampshire certification in General Special Education (K-12). General special education focuses on mild to moderate disabilities. Students outside New Hampshire must check with their state’s Department of Education for certification requirements and reciprocity. There is reciprocity between NH and 42 states. See Certification and Licensure for more information.
Special Education Degree Available as Additional Endorsement or Initial Licensure
If you are a licensed elementary education teacher seeking an additional endorsement by the state of New Hampshire in Special Education, you can enjoy the flexibility of taking courses at our Manchester center, completely online, or through a combination of these course delivery methods. You can become qualified to support the learning of students with disabilities in regular classrooms or can teach students with disabilities in a resource room.
If you have an undergraduate bachelor’s degree and are not yet certified to teach, you are eligible to earn initial licensure through this Special Education degree program by taking courses at our Manchester center. The initial licensure path is currently not available online. With this licensure, you may teach Special Education students in a resource room setting.
