Shapiro Library

Shapiro Library is dedicated to promoting successful academic careers and lifelong learning. Using innovative services and technologies, the library delivers information and instruction to both on-campus and online students.

Shapiro Library provides access to and instruction on leading business, education, arts and sciences databases. This selection of databases contains full-text journals, magazines, reports and newspapers chosen to support the curriculum. Please contact us for a list of current database available to our students and faculty.

SNHU is a member of the New Hampshire College and University Council and students and faculty may borrow materials from other participating libraries. Interlibrary Loan also provides access to material not held at Shapiro Library.

EBook readers, calculators, laptops and more are available for loan from the library and study rooms are available on a first come, first save basis.

In 2014, Shapiro Library will move into the new Learning Commons building. SNHU’s Learning Commons was designed to serve a growing student population. In addition to housing library services, the Learning Commons will also include an IT help desk, the Learning Center, a café, and a media production suite. This new 50,000 square foot, $18 million building will be located at the center of campus and will provide a beautiful state-of-the-art facility for students to conduct their academic work.
