Online Degree in Community Economic Development Has Long, Proven History

Welcome to SNHU's MS in Community Economic Development program, a 36-credit-hour online degree program designed for professionals with at least two years experience working in the field. With roots that stretch back to 1982, SNHU's Community Economic Development Master's program was the first such program in the United States.

Grow your career in community economic development (CED) by earning an online degree from the oldest program of its kind in the country. Learn proven techniques and strategies you can use in your CED position right now. Discover how to design, implement, measure and lead a successful community economic development project in your town. Collaborate with CED peers from around the world and learn new ideas you can use to tackle similar challenges in your community. Learn from professors who are actively involved in community economic development programs across the U.S. and around the globe.

Out From Your Computer, into Your Community

Designed to provide community economic development practitioners with the skills and knowledge you'll need to help marginalized communities improve quality of life, the CED program offers a holistic view of problem-solving - addressing social, political, cultural and other influences that can impact the success or failure of community economic development programs. Through an experiential learning project built into the curriculum, you will design, develop and implement a real CED program in your community.
