The MEd in Special Education program is ideal for students seeking initial certification or additional endorsement in the state of New Hampshire. This program can be completed either at our Manchester, N.H., campus or online. Please note that the online format is currently available only to New Hampshire residents.
In this program, you can learn how to support students with learning disabilities in regular classrooms and integrated classrooms. Our Special Education courses include Methods of Teaching Reading, Methods of Teaching Elementary Mathematics, Exploring the Principles of Education, Learning Through Technology, Learning Theories and Instruction and The Educational Factors of Diversity.
Upon successful completion of our MEd in Special Education program, you can be qualified to teach in public or private schools. You can seek opportunities as a special education teacher, resource room teacher, integrated classroom teacher, integrated classroom curriculum developer or
assessment coordinator.
