"Deciding to return to college at SNHU as an online student has changed my life."
Deciding to return to college at SNHU as an online creative writing student has changed my life. Also, I would like to thank my student advisor, Melissa Page, for her support and patience. I will admit that I started college with the preconceived idea that I would not have the stamina to finish because I have Lupus, and that I would not be able to learn in an online environment. I am glad I was wrong.
I first knew I could do this while studying humanities. In this class, I was given the opportunity to analyze, and then discuss, art. I could not believe I was actually discussing art intellectually, and enjoying every minute. In English, I explained how nervous I was about writing poetry. I always thought poets were born with an innate gift. When I wrote my first poem, I was encouraged. Now, I will continue to write poetry. Lastly, in my Philosophy class, I learned the original meaning of the word philosophy is more profound than I could have imagined: the love of wisdom. The knowledge I have acquired at SNHU lines up with my goals and aspirations in life, and for this, I am grateful.
