BA Psychology - Mental Health, Class of 2017

"I am so very proud of myself, and I feel confident, every day, that SNHU is the place that I belong!"

When I discovered SNHU, I was feeling a little lost in my life. I had just dropped out of my second university in three years and had no idea what I wanted to do. I was working as a nanny, and while I enjoyed it, I knew that it wouldn't satisfy me for long. My future felt bleak. I sat down and wrote a list of what made me feel happiest in life and at the top was "helping others." I gave SNHU a call, and after speaking with Rochelle in admissions I knew I had made a great decision.

Within the first week of my first term, I knew that the psychology program was the right place for me to be. Professor Boozer-Madison was so great, and for the first time, I was enjoying school! My advisor, Kurt, suggested I try a sociology course, and I loved that equally. Professor DeBose's course inspired me to add my second major. I am now in my fifth term at SNHU, and I have become that person who loves to talk about what she just learned in school, and I look forward to completing my modules each week. I even ended up earning a "B" in math! I have been fortunate enough to have amazing instructors and supportive advisors (thank you Kurt, Kristen and Chantel). I am so very proud of myself, and I feel confident, every day, that SNHU is the place that I belong!
