"If it weren’t for my academic advisor, I wouldn't have known how to advocate for myself and continue with my studies."

I was a teen mom who had several education experiences. I graduated high school in 2001, pregnant with my first daughter. She was born during my freshman year of college, and I struggled being a student and a young mom. I tried out several different colleges and majors. In that time, I got divorced, remarried, and had three more daughters. My last daughter was born prematurely. If it weren’t for my wonderful academic advisor, Brady Paquette, I wouldn't have known how to advocate for myself and continue with my studies. I have really benefited from her advice and support. I am really looking forward to graduating and showing my daughters (Abigail, Sophia, Caroline and Josephine) that achieving your goals is possible, even if it takes thirteen years. My husband has been a wonderful source of support all along. I did it all for my husband, my daughters, and myself.
