"The online programs at SNHU have allowed us to financially work to support ourselves while still furthering our education and passions."

It took me transferring from four different universities to end up where I am today. Some may look at that as a disadvantage, but I look it as my journey in discovering my passion. It’s not easy to sit down and say, “This is what I am going to do for the rest of my life.” Thankfully, Southern New Hampshire University has helped me in identifying exactly what I feel I am meant to do.

I want to further my degree in psychology of childhood and adolescent Behavior and obtain a master’s degree in counseling. My hope is to one day work for a Christian organization or affiliation in order to counsel and help struggling teens learn their worth and value. Even though it took me a while to figure it out what my passion is, I can happily say that SNHU has guided me down a path that will allow me to make a difference in the lives of others every single day, and nothing is more rewarding that that!

While not only overcoming my own educational needs in order to further myself in something that I am passionate about, I have overcome adversity with my husband, Charlie. His mother died when he was 15 and his father died when he was 17. He was orphaned before he even graduated high school. As his girlfriend through some of the most tragic events we can ever face in life, I am now proud to say I am his wife! Being on our own and both of us barely in our 20s, I work two part-time jobs and he works full-time. He is also an SNHU student! The online programs at SNHU have allowed us to financially work to support ourselves while still furthering our education and passions. Thank you, SNHU!
