"Upon graduation from SNHU, I will be the first person in my family to have their master’s."
I am from McSherrystown, Pennsylvania—a little town about 45 minutes north of Baltimore, Maryland. I live with my boyfriend and our two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Adrianna. Growing up I always had a desire to help others, but it wasn't until I worked as a mental health worker that I truly developed an interest in psychology.
I have always been a very caring and giving person, and it is my goal after I graduate to be able to help children and teens that have had difficulties in life growing up.
Going through this program has not been easy. My grades struggled in the beginning, but I am extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity to continue my studies here at SNHU. I have managed to bring my grades up, so that I can continue my dreams and get my master’s in psychology.
Upon graduation from SNHU, I will be the first person in my family to have their master’s. My reason for continuing my education is to be able to provide the help others need and so that my daughter grows to be proud of her mother by seeing that I managed to overcome the odds, fight against difficulties and never gave up.
I am thankful for the support that all of my advisers have been able to provide. There is no other school I would rather be part of. I am a part of the family here at SNHU.
