"I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am to SNHU for allowing me the opportunity to not only make my son proud, but set an example for his future."
Life hasn't always been fair to me. That’s something most people can relate to. Whether it be wrong timing, or wrong circumstances, there just might be something there that puts a halt to your plans. I decided last summer that my life had intervened way too many times when it came to my academics and my dream to earn my degree in something that I love: creative writing.
I am a full-time employee, and a full-time mother raising a child alone. I am also an aspiring writer. SNHU gave me the opportunity to become a full-time student at a pace that works around my schedule, and not the other way around. Before SNHU I always wondered, “When will it be my turn? Will I ever finish school?”
I finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. I have an amazing support system at home, and on the SNHU faculty. I know one day I am going to be on stage with a cap and gown, and see my son in the audience looking at me accomplishing my dreams. I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am to SNHU for allowing me the opportunity to not only make my son proud, but also set an example for his future. This has been a tremendous experience.
