"I enjoy being a part of the SNHU experience."
I never thought I would enjoy going to college. I grew up in a small town by the name of Flint, Michigan. This is a town of people who lack hope and/or support, and I allowed this fact to get the best of me and became severely depressed. I went to college for a little while but eventually dropped out. My depression did not want me to succeed. The years passed, and I moved to Houston to start a new life. I loved the city, but I grew very tired of dead end jobs, so the first thing I did was recognize I am worth so much more, and I overcame my depression.
Next, I applied at another university, and I was accepted. I received an A.A. in Healthcare Administration. This university was nice, but I felt I needed something more in a university so I applied at Southern New Hampshire University. I like what this university has to offer, and a great majority of my credits transferred. My advisor for my first three terms was Sandra Queenan. I tell you God must love her; she is one of the sweetest human beings I have ever met. She was so helpful and made sure I was comfortable going through my first three terms. I am still in the process of earning my B.S. in Healthcare Management. I believe I will do fine, and I enjoy being a part of the SNHU experience, and I look forward to going to Manchester, New Hampshire, to walk across the stage and say, "Take a look at this depression — one more accomplishment I did not allow you to steal from me."
