"Overall, this school has given me a second chance to be in the field of study that I love and still be able to have a life outside of it."

Since coming to SNHU last year, I have really found a school that I can call home. The two advisors, Liz and Paden, have made my transition back into school so much easier than I believed it to be. Three years ago, I had to stop going to school and take care of my father full-time because he was diagnosed with leukemia. After he passed a year later, I had my own health problems to contend with as well. Since being in school, I have had those surgeries and will probably have to get another one. Paden, along with my teachers and family, have been supportive of this and have been willing to help me in any way possible along the way. My mom has been my strongest and most dedicated supporter through all of this, and she even learns new things as I go through my different classes. I strive to do my best in everything that I do, and being able to have a strong support system is something that I understand not many people have, but I am very thankful that I do. I still have another year for my undergraduate degree to be completed, and I plan to continue my education with SNHU for my master’s degree as well. Overall, this school has given me a second chance to be in the field of study that I love and still be able to have a life outside of it. I am definitely a loud and proud PENMEN!!
