"Without the help and support from the staff and faculty at SNHU, I don't think I would be able to do it."
I've always known what I have wanted to be in life; I’ve just never had the motivation to do so. I have worked retail and jobs that never made me happy. One day, after crying to my mom about not making enough money to take care of my family, she asked me what I was going to do about it. At that point, it clicked to me—what was I going to do about it? I had never been to a real college before, and I was turning 26 with a daughter going into preschool. I had so many questions going through my head, like how was I going to afford it, and how would I study? With the help and support of SNHU and my family, before I knew it, I had my financial aid all set, and I was starting my first term!
About a week and half into my first term at SNHU, my mother, who was my biggest supporter of me going to college, passed away unexpectedly. I thought I would not be able to go back and get through it. Not only am I getting though it, I'm doing it with honors! Without the help and support from the staff and faculty at SNHU, I don't think I would be able to do it.
