"I chose international business because I love traveling abroad and I love different cultures."
Manon Jean has brought a zest for exploring the world to SNHU.
An Arlington, Mass. resident, Jean is an international business major who, along with a group of fellow SNHU students, spent a week during her junior year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for a class project.
“I chose international business because I love traveling abroad and I love different cultures,” Jean says. “I’ve always wanted to do business on a global scale.”
While in Malaysia, Jean and her classmates consulted with an entrepreneur looking to expand his business from Singapore into Malaysia. Closer to home, she’s relished the business contacts she’s cultivated on campus.
“I’ve met several business leaders, people who have been in international business for many years and have shared their experiences with me,” she says.
While aspiring to work for a multinational corporation, Jean has spent spare time as president of SNHU’s Anime and Film Club, a group interested in animation and the arts. Jean has been interested in anime, or Japanese animation, since she was five years old and has explored employment opportunities with a leading distributor of anime productions in North America.
“I love anime, and if I ever got the chance to I would love to work in it,” she says.
