"My academic advisor is excellent at assisting me in making decisions to fit my educational needs."

Going back to college was a task I wasn't sure I was ready to commit to. When my wife said she wanted to get her degree so she could one day open her own program for at-risk youths, and she wanted me to be a part of it, I knew I had to do something. My wife told me I didn't have to get a degree, but I told her I wanted to be a part of the business, and also know what I am doing.

I have struggled with life, and I was afraid to go back to school at 49, but I knew in order to accomplish my goals, a degree was my best option. And since my wife is a student at SNHU, I figured why not go back.

The more time I put in, the more comfortable I felt. The school and professors all want to bring out the best in me. SNHU has taught me that anything is attainable, and now my quest is to not only complete my degree, but come up to the school, walk across the stage, and meet the people that helped to make this dream a reality.

My academic advisor is excellent at assisting me in making decisions to fit my educational needs. I have never been a big writer and have always have been pretty shy, but I am coming out of my shell and applying myself to this rewarding experience. That will be a big achievement when it’s time to walk across the stage. I thank you for allowing me the chance to grow, as a student, and as a person.
