International MBA Finance, Class of 2015

"The program offers a highly affordable opportunity to prove oneself academically, while allowing for schedule flexibility."

After high school, I entered into my undergraduate studies without knowing what path my career would take. My focus was on earning a degree, and enjoying the experience. But during that time, I was able to travel on a six-month study abroad direct exchange to Santiago de Compostela, Spain, where my eyes were opened to an international community.

After returning to the U.S., I received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from a local university. After earning my BA, I worked as an administrative assistant in higher education. I continued to work at a steakhouse in Bangor, Maine, as a server and bartender. Now my primary job is on the business development team at Blackhawk Network’s small satellite office in Hermon, Maine.

I was bit too carefree during my undergraduate work, and because of this, my GPA fell just short of what would typically be accepted for graduate study. The online international MBA program at SNHU allowed me to pursue continued education, in hopes of better understanding the motives of my clients, and preparing me for future leadership roles. The program offers a highly affordable opportunity to prove oneself academically, while allowing for schedule flexibility – especially for someone working two jobs.
