"I hope to complete my undergraduate degree in psychology at SNHU and continue on with my education."
I have lived in the Chicago Area for all of my 46 years. I currently live in Schaumburg, Illinois, which is about 20 miles northwest of Chicago. I've been married to my wonderful wife for 23 years, and we have two children. My son is fifteen and is a sophomore in high school, and my daughter is eleven and in sixth grade. I have worked outdoors as a Fleet Service Worker and Ramp Service Agent for United Airlines at O'Hare International Airport for the last 27 years. I've attended several colleges in the Chicago area where I have accumulated about 100 credit hours.
Most of my previous college work has been in the field of business management as I always thought I would want to work in management with United. I really never found business education to be particularly interesting though, so in 1994, I dropped out of college and decided I would just focus on working full-time and raising a family. Recently, I have come to the realization that I just don't want to spend the rest of my working years loading and unloading airplanes and that my real passion lies with helping people who struggle with emotional difficulties and addiction issues. I hope to complete my undergraduate degree in psychology at SNHU and continue on with my education in social work with an eye toward working in the mental health and addiction recovery field.
