"I owe it to these people for my success at SNHU, so far, and ultimately what this degree will do for me in the long run."
I'm originally from Lowell, Massachusetts but moved around quite a bit from both of my parents being in the military. I currently live in Charleston, South Carolina, but altogether I've lived in Massachusetts, New Jersey, South Carolina, Germany, Virginia, Georgia, and South Carolina, again. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in the Atlanta area with a degree in business administration in 2012. After two years of working in sales, I decided to further my education in order to make a change into a technical career field. I am currently an IT service technician at a local hospital while pursuing my graduate degree in healthcare informatics. I feel that furthering my education played a huge role in why I was chosen for this position with no prior experience. I was very familiar with SNHU when looking into graduate programs because my parents live in Hooksett, New Hampshire. It made all the difference in selecting a school that I had physically seen before and one that is close to the area I'm from. This program is very challenging, but I feel it has reflectively made all the more difference in my life. The people that helped me the most are my parents, my advisor Wendy Dziedzic, and my roommate. My parents were the people who pushed me to not sell myself short and to obtain a master's degree as opposed to just a certificate. Wendy has been very helpful with selecting courses and following up regularly throughout my studies. My roommate has been there for me on a daily basis giving me that extra push that you need when the studying, workload and deadlines seem impossible. I owe it to these people for my success at SNHU, so far, and ultimately what this degree will do for me in the long run.
