"The professors and advisors at SNHU have been an integral part of my success as a student."
I attended SNHU from 2004-2008 and received a BA in Psychology. I then continued my education and received an MS in Community Mental Health Counseling in 2012. While completing my MS, I, along with my best friend, another SNHU graduate, decided to start a small business. We wanted to educate people and help them live healthier lives.
Cancer has had a strong impact on our lives, and has driven us to make healthier changes. We believe that making small changes in one’s home and business is a great and easy way to start. So we started an environmentally sustainable cleaning business with a corporate-social responsibility business plan. The business is solely operated on environmental, economic and social initiatives, and we have just completed our first year of business.
While building this business, I decided that I wanted to fulfill another lifelong goal of pursuing writing. I re-enrolled at SNHU in the MA in English and Creative Writing program, with a concentration in fiction. The online program has been a great alternative to the traditional classroom setting. I can go to my regular job, build a business and attend class all in the same day.
The professors and advisors at SNHU have been an integral part of my success as a student, providing flexibility, an abundance of resources, as well as the support necessary to pursue this goal. Being a student of this university for almost 10 years now, I can honestly say that I made the right choice when I applied to become an undergraduate.
