"I learned so much on that first phone call! I knew SNHU was for me."

I am 30 years old, have been married for seven years, have two beautiful children, and I am a stay-at-home mom. I have always wanted to earn a college degree; however, life happened, and my goal has not been accomplished. It has been attempted, but never completed. I have focused all of my energy on my family for the last seven years. I realized that I am important, too! I realized I must think about me as well as my family.

In the past, I thought that if I tried to finish college that I would have to sacrifice something. I always thought I would have to give up time with my family or spend tons of money, and that thought did not make me happy. Then, I saw the commercial for SNHU. The detail that caught my attention was the part about SNHU being not-for-profit. I decided to make the call. It was a life-changer! I learned so much on that first phone call! I knew SNHU was for me. The process was so easy! The work is not, but that is what makes it worth it. I am “earning” a great education, not just “paying” for it.

Yes, I do have to make some sacrifices along the way, but I know in the end it will be worth it. I know when my family sees me holding that diploma, they will be proud of me. I know that when it comes down to my children deciding whether or not to go to college, I will have a GREAT argument on why they should. Because I did.
