BA Creative Writing & English - Fiction, Class of 2014

"Since starting at SNHU in January 2013, I have learned so much."

I stumbled upon Southern New Hampshire University by chance. One night, I was flipping through TV channels and came across a commercial for SNHU. For months, I had been searching for the right school to finish my bachelor’s degree, but I couldn’t find a program that fit my schedule and offered the degree I wanted. After visiting SNHU.edu, I discovered that SNHU offered online degrees in almost every major. I scrolled through the catalog until I found the English degrees, and I was shocked to find a program for English and creative writing. No other school I’d looked at had offered online creative writing programs. As an avid reader and writer, I knew this was the degree I wanted to pursue. I spoke with an admission advisor who answered all of my questions, and helped me take the steps to apply.

Since starting at SNHU in January 2013, I have learned so much. Not only have I expanded my knowledge in multiple areas, but I’ve also become a better writer, researcher and editor thanks to all of my amazing professors. Term after term I’ve had professors who took time to encourage me and push me to do better. They’ve taught me how to work effectively with others, and how to dig deep for my best work. If I ever had a question or problem, my advisor was always there to guide me through it. The lessons I’ve learned at SNHU have prepared me to do my very best work once I graduate. Without my professors and advisor, I wouldn’t be able to claim success. I am so thankful I happened to see that commercial in 2012. I look forward to seeing where this journey will lead me. It has been an honor to call myself an SNHU student, and in September, I will have the honor of calling myself an SNHU alumna.
