"I was especially impressed with the business program at SNHU."
When Brooke Goudreau ’11 began researching options for higher education in high school, SNHU quickly emerged as the ideal solution.
“I knew when I was in high school that I wanted to study business in college,” says Brooke, who grew up in Lewiston, Maine. “My advisor talked to me about several colleges and universities and I was especially impressed with the business program at Southern New Hampshire University.”
Brooke began taking classes at SNHU’s Manchester campus in the autumn of 2008. To make things even better, Best Buy, the company she had begun working for while she was going to high school, transferred her to the Manchester store, where she has earned a leadership role in the customer service department.
During her freshman year, while taking classes on campus, Brooke learned about SNHU’s online education options and realized they offered several advantages for her. So in the summer of 2009 she began taking classes online.
“I like the flexibility of online education,” she says. “It has really helped me to retain my job, because I can arrange my class schedule around my work schedule. And since the courses are concentrated and take less time to complete than classroom courses, I’ve been able to wrap up my undergraduate education quicker.”
