"My experience has been amazing. The staff has been more than I could have ever hoped for."
After graduating high school, I didn't know what I wanted to do, and by the time I figured it out, I was married with a three-year-old son. I returned to a traditional college and barely made it through the semester. Life as a wife, mother and full-time employee is difficult in and of itself — adding time for school and study was close to impossible.
I tried a few different schools that offered online education and, by pure luck, stumbled upon SNHU. My experience has been amazing, the staff has been more than I could have ever hoped for, and this May I will finally graduate with my English language and literature degree. It has taken me ten years to achieve this goal, and I remember many times thinking this day would never come. I am nervous about my new endeavor, but excited for what’s to come.
I recently applied for the MFA in Creative Writing at SNHU, and I’m anxiously awaiting my fate. I don’t know what to expect in the future, but I know that what I’ve learned during my time with SNHU is invaluable, and having arrived at my goal is every bit as sweet as I’d hoped it would be. I have beaten the odds and have proven to everyone who said I was “wasting my time” or “you’ll never finish” wrong. Yes, I pursued a degree to obtain a career, but that achievement is miniscule compared to the satisfaction of having set my mind to do something and seeing it through to the end.
