"The experience is wonderful, and I am so grateful for the quality education I am receiving."

I was born in Sri Lanka and raised in London, England. I moved to the United States when I was just old enough to appreciate the difference in cultures and have lived in this country ever since. After graduating high school, I attended a junior college in 1979, studying culinary arts with the intention of becoming a chef.

I worked my way through school, paying for most of it myself, and graduated with an associate degree in occupational studies. At the time I graduated, my school was introducing a bachelor’s program, which I could have participated in for an extremely favorable tuition rate; however, being young, ambitious and eager to join the world of working adults, I chose not to take that opportunity.

I thought I could always go back for a degree in the near future, once I had earned a bit of money. Unfortunately, I did not go back to finish my undergraduate degree, and I have been regretting it ever since. This year, I finally decided to take the plunge, put in the time and enroll in online degree program.

I did a lot of research and came to the decision that SNHU is the best option for online education. I am a new student to the program and new to taking online courses as well. I was very intimidated in the beginning. The process seemed so daunting that I nearly dropped out. It did not help that I was starting a new job as a Senior VP on the same day my classes were scheduled to begin.

With the support of the SNHU staff, I was able to navigate my way, and I am now happily enrolled in a BS in Business Administration program. The experience is wonderful, and I am so grateful for the quality education I am receiving—much better than I expected from an online program. I plan to finish my coursework in a year or so, and I am truly looking forward to all that SNHU has to offer.
