MA Communication - New Media & Marketing, Class of 2015

"I cannot believe that I have come this far in such a short time."

There have been a few things that I have always been certain of in my life: what I wanted to do and where I wanted to work. To me, there was never any other major that spoke to my heart as communication has done. The same goes for where I want to end up in life: the Walt Disney Company. I graduated with my undergrad in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in communications and sociology. I managed to finish cum laude and was the president of Lambda Pi Eta, the communications national honor society.

My undergraduate work was, to say the least, boring. I feel like what I learned in high school was just being taught all over again. The teachers I had were just average. I swore that after college I would never go back to school because it was just an awful experience. Then I talked to Danielle from the admission office at SNHU. She had me so excited to actually go back to school that I was ready to start immediately. I wrote my essays and submitted all the information the very first day I spoke with Danielle. Since then I have had nothing but AMAZING things to say about everyone at SNHU.

The teachers have been nothing short of phenomenal and I am learning so much more. Having enrolled in SNHU, I feel that this has been one of the best decisions of my life. A lot of my success here is because of the teachers such as Valerie Terry and Karen Wilkinson. I cannot believe that I have come this far in such a short time but I feel that SNHU is preparing me for my future at the Walt Disney Company. The work may be a lot to handle at different times of the semester, but it is 100% worth it. I love SNHU. I never thought going back to school was in my future or even doable at that point, but everyone has made it the best experience ever.
