Dr. Dougherty has a small private supervision practice, supporting counselors in training toward receiving their Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification. She conducted her doctoral research exploring the lived experiences of counselor educators with mindfulness practice in the classroom with culturally diverse students. She is also a past president of the Greater Philadelphia Pennsylvania Counseling Association and current Emerging Leader chair for ACES emerging leaders.
