The Health Services staff handle most common health concerns and are involved with wellness and preventative medicine. The staff offers treatment of common acute problems (e.g.
colds & flu,) personal health counseling, information on
birth control, referral for
sexually transmitted infection testing,
allergy injections, and assistance with processing claims for school health insurance(
domestic and
international). Any problem the nurses cannot handle is referred to the university physician or another appropriate practitioner.
To receive health services at the SNHU Wellness Center, you must be a full-time SNHU student with a complete Medical Record form (PDF 36 kb) on file. All student health records are confidential).
Health Services for International Students
In addition to the Medical Record form, international students, cannot complete registration without; a chest x-ray report, and evidence of immunization against measles, mumps and rubella. Failure to produce this information will result in additional expenses and medical treatment upon your arrival for school registration.
Charges for health services in the community are usually sent directly to students. The Bursar's Office handles all questions pertaining to billing and enrollment in the SNHU insurance plans.
Students who are eligible for the SNHU insurance are those new or continuing students who are taking a minimum of 12 credits per semester. All eligible undergraduate domestic students will be charged for the insurance plan offered by the University, until you can show proof of other medical insurance and complete the Health Insurance Waiver Form.
