SNHU Again Named a Best Employer for Women by Forbes
Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) has once again been recognized by Forbes as one of America’s “Best Employers for Women,” earning a place on the 2026 list for the fifth consecutive year. The recognition reflects the university’s continued commitment to equity and inclusion and to building a workplace where women are supported and empowered to thrive. The annual ranking is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., a leading provider of market and consumer data.
“At SNHU, we are committed to a people-first culture where employees are supported, valued and empowered to grow,” said Heather Baram, Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at SNHU. “We know that great ideas, innovation and impact happen when people with different experiences and perspectives come together around a shared purpose. By creating opportunities for employees to contribute their talents, develop their potential and thrive in meaningful work, we strengthen our community and our ability to transform lives. Being recognized for the fifth consecutive year belongs to the people who show up with purpose, lead with heart and make SNHU what it is every single day.”
The 2026 list is based on an independent Statista survey of more than 146,000 women and more than 4 million employer evaluations considered across three years. Employers were evaluated on a range of workplace factors, including:
- Compensation and pay equity
- Career advancement opportunities
- Work-life balance
- Parental leave policies
- Benefits for childcare or eldercare
- Responsiveness to discrimination and misconduct
