Manchester, N.H. (May 1, 2025) - Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) will celebrate its 96th Commencement this weekend, May 3-4, 2025. SNHU will welcome more than 27,000 friends, family and community members at the SNHU Arena to celebrate more than 5,000 graduates in four ceremonies over the course of the weekend.

These ceremonies will celebrate more than 19,000 eligible spring 2025 graduates aged 14-82 who have earned more than 2,500 associate degrees, 11,900 bachelor’s degrees, 4,500 master’s degrees and 19 doctoral degrees. The graduates, including more than 3,600 military-affiliated learners, have joined a growing community of over 280,000 SNHU alumni.

SNHU Commencement is held twice a year and brings tens of thousands of visitors to the Greater Manchester area who support local businesses through travel, lodging, dining, and more. A new economic contribution analysis released last week by the New Hampshire College and University Council (NHCUC), highlights the impact of SNHU Commencement on the local economy and describes the university as a “magnet for tourism in the Granite State.” According to the report, nonprofit higher education institutions “generated a total impact of $7.6 billion on New Hampshire’s economy in FY 2023” through operational and capital expenditures, spending impacts of students and visitors, as well as the impact of alumni across the state.
