If you hold valid data and IT certifications or credentials, you may be eligible for transfer credits for any of the credentials below. Talk to your admission counselor or academic advisor for details.
Some SNHU courses include materials that can help you prepare for the corresponding certification exam. To take a certification exam, please register and make payments directly to the appropriate provider. Student discounts may be available for some exams – students should talk to their academic advisor.

To validate your certificate:
Microsoft Certification exams passed and certifications earned become part of your Microsoft Certified Profession (MCP) members official transcript, which can be shared with potential employers and universities. Microsoft offers MCP members a tool called Transcript Sharing, which can be accessed from the benefits and exams dashboard.
You must create an access code and share both the access code and transcript ID with the URL to SNHU. Your admission counselor or academic advisor will use the URL and the 2 codes to view your Microsoft transcript.

To qualify for transfer credits, students must initiate their request within 3 years of receiving their badge.
SNHU students can earn SNHU credit for IT 476 Experiential Learning (IT elective) for completing a minimum number of Salesforce Trailhead badges (maximum of 6 credits total):
- 100 badges from any trail
- At least 1 Superbadge
Students can earn an additional 3 IT elective credits for completing an additional 100 Trailhead badges (not including the 100 already completed) and a second Superbadge. SNHU does not offer credit for any Salesforce certifications. Visit the Salesforce Trailhead page for additional details on badges and superbadges available.

To verify your Thinkful certificate:
- Ask Thinkful to provide SNHU with your certificate of completion
- A Thinkful / SNHU badge will awarded and emailed to you
- When enrolling at SNHU, share your badge with your Admission Counselor in order to get credit for your Thinkful courses
Thinkful provides comprehensive, skills-based training in data analytics, data science, software engineering and web development. Prior Learning Assessment credits allow students to accelerate their degree program with job-ready skills from Thinkful.
Thinkful's programs are available in Flex or Immersion formats;
- Flex format: graduate in 6 months (approx. 25-30 hours / week)
- Immersion format: graduate in 5 months (approx. 50-60 hours / week)

For students in the following degree programs, up to 12 credits can be applied against major elective requirements (NOTE: If major elective requirements have been met, they can also be applied against free elective credit requirements):

For all other undergraduate degree programs, the 12 credits can be applied as free elective credits.
Udacity nanodegrees provide comprehensive, in-depth study into topical areas relevant to computer science. Prior Learning Assessment credits for select Udacity experiences will give students the opportunity to supplement their degree program with industry-relevant subject matter—and potentially save money along the way.
