Why SNHU

Since WWII, Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) has proudly served members of the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, and now the Space Force. SNHU's participation in the General Education Mobile (GEM) program gives you an affordable and flexible way to earn the general education credits required to complete your Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) degree.

As an innovator in education since 1932 and online since 1996, SNHU offers over 200 degree programs along with the support you need to achieve your goals during your service years and post-military career.

At SNHU, your mission is our mission. We're committed to helping you earn your degree online by building on the rigor and values of our traditional campus programs. From day 1, our students have access to:

GEM Courses

The flexibility of our online coursework and the expertise of our faculty allow you to finish the GEM requirements for your CCAF degree, whether you're at home base or deployed overseas. When enrolling in a course, Airmen and Guardians should contact their servicing base education office for Tuition Assistance (TA) guidance.

CCAF - GEM Courses
The following courses are approved to fulfill CCAF-GEM requirements for students. If a student is attending SNHU specifically to fulfill their CCAF-GEM requirements, this should be noted in their file, and they should be enrolled as Course Work Only (CWO).

Our GEM classes represent only a small fraction of our offerings for military students. Following your CCAF graduation, you can transfer up to 90 credits towards a bachelor's degree program and finish college even faster.
