SNHU Cross-Country Journey to Celebrate Student Success

Southern New Hampshire University has embarked on an unprecedented cross-country journey to celebrate student success. Traveling across the United States in an SNHU.edu bus throughout July and August, the university will meet some of the 20,000 students currently studying online and many alumni. Faculty, advisors and students will have an opportunity to connect, share their personal stories and talk about what their idea of success really is—and how SNHU can help them get there.

“As a nonprofit university, our mission is focused on student success. We pride ourselves on knowing our students and what it takes to succeed when juggling busy lives full of family, work, and also education,” said SNHU President Paul LeBlanc. “This cross-country trip is commensurate with our ‘bringing education to where students live and work’ philosophy, making distance learning seem just a little less distant.”

The SNHU.edu bus visited the Manchester, N.H., campus on Friday, July 12th, and enjoyed a rousing send-off from students, faculty and staff. The journey, which began on July 15 at the university’s College of Online and Continuing Education in Manchester, will continue down the east coast toward Florida before moving across the country toward Los Angeles and back again to New Hampshire.

“We thought it would be fun to hit the road and celebrate our students’ success in completing degrees or even just returning to school and chipping away at their degree,” said LeBlanc. “Their accomplishments mean a great deal to us, and we appreciate this opportunity to share in their success.”

The public is encouraged to follow the journey at succeed.snhu.edu as the university documents its travels through a daily blog and via social media using the hash tag #SeeYourselfSucceed.

Students, along with their friends and families, are invited to meet up with the bus at locations nationwide and can reach out to express their interest through the blog and social media. Several celebratory events have been planned along the way, as well as many personal visits by faculty and advisors with students.
