"(SNHU) prepares management students to perform the IT-related activities, and I am looking for bigger opportunities and challenges now."
Rajeev Shukla, a native of India, searched for healthcare information technology (IT) programs all over the United States, and kept getting the same reply: Their programs were available only for U.S. citizens or residents with Green Cards. He enrolled at SNHU as an on-campus student because of the university's robust platform and knowledgeable professors. "I did my bachelor's degree in hospital administration, and wanted to earn my master's degree in IT within the healthcare environment," he said. "The SNHU platform gave me the proper knowledge of healthcare and IT in the face of healthcare informatics."
Shukla found that the support from his professors, advisors, and the staff at International Student Services (ISS) was crucial to his success. "They increased my motivation towards my career," he said. "And, the entertainment, sports and SNHU tours were all so awesome that I want to live that life again."
"SNHU is the king of New Hampshire, and they are the best, from academics to sports. If you are feeling homesick, you can just go talk to your advisor or ISS staff," he said. "They will not let you feel like you are in between the strangers. It's a diversified, lovable university where every person is supportive, from the president to staff and students."
Shukla is well prepared to perform the healthcare informatics functions that were his goal and is currently working as an IT professional for Ericsson Project in Plano, Texas. "I give all the credit to SNHU. They prepare management students to perform the IT-related activities, and I am looking for bigger opportunities and challenges now."
