"The education that I have received at SNHU has been fundamental to my success."
I was working as an engineering analyst when I completed my BS in Accounting. I knew I was going to be transitioning careers and my current company only helped me along by laying me off. I wasn’t concerned about being let go, but it added a complication to my educational plans; I didn’t know where I was going to be living. I had decided to take the change in careers as a chance to potentially relocate from Maine to somewhere else—a chance to see more of the world.
I knew that I didn’t want to wait to start my master’s degree because I would lose momentum. I needed a school that was respected and also offered an online curriculum, since I knew I needed to be more mobile. Several of my previous classmates had mentioned Southern New Hampshire University as a top choice for a master’s program, so I checked out their MS in Accounting program.
Online curriculum, check! Respected program, check! Affordable, check! Getting started at SNHU was easy as well, which was much appreciated. Here we are two years later. I did relocate to southern Maryland, and now I work for the United States Post Office at their headquarters in Washington, D.C., as a financial system specialist providing functional support for their Oracle financial applications. The education that I have received at SNHU has been fundamental to my success. I even managed to convince my brother to start taking classes for his undergrad degree at SNHU.
